INSTRUCTIONS

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

DESCRIPTION

The National Weather Service in Eureka has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect until 5 AM PDT early this morning.

* AFFECTED AREA…Fire weather zone 203.Fire weather zone 204.

* THUNDERSTORMS…Thunderstorms producing abundant lightning across dry fuels are expected resulting in an increased threat for fire starts.

* OUTFLOW WINDS…Erratic outflow winds gusting to 30 mph.

* IMPACTS…any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
