DESCRIPTION
At 500 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Alderpoint, or 8 miles northeast of Garberville, moving northwest at 20 mph. This storm will impact portions of Highway 101 and the Avenue of the Giants, including Miranda.
HAZARD…Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include… Fort Seward.
