INSTRUCTIONS
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
DESCRIPTION
* AFFECTED AREA…Fire weather zones 201, 203, 204, 211, 212, and 283. This includes the communities of Crescent City, Gasquet, Klamath, Orick, Orleans, Hoopa, Willow Creek, Dinsmore, and Hyampom.
* THUNDERSTORMS…Scattered thunderstorms with abundant lightning developing Thursday afternoon and night, moving north to northwest from Trinity County into northern Humboldt, western Siskiyou, and Del Norte counties.
* OUTFLOW WINDS…Erratic outflow wind gusts up to 40 mph.
* IMPACTS…Increased threat of fire starts and erratic fire behavior due to gusty outflow winds.
