DESCRIPTION

* WHAT…Flash flooding and debris flows caused by excessive rainfall continue to be possible over the Pilot and 3-9 burn scar.

* WHERE…A portion of northwest California, including the following areas, Northern Humboldt Interior and Southern Humboldt Interior.

* WHEN…Through this evening.

* IMPACTS…Heavy rainfall with rainfall rates near an inch per hour over the Pilot and 3-9 burn scars will be possible with thunderstorms. Residents near the Pilot and 3-9 burn scar should prepare for potential flooding impacts. Be sure to stay up to date with information from local authorities. Heavy rainfall could trigger flash flooding near recent wildfire burn scars.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS… - National Weather Service Meteorologists are forecasting heavy rainfall over the Pilot and 3-9 fire burn scars, which may lead to flash flooding and debris flows. Rain rates may exceed one inch per hour. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
