INSTRUCTIONS
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
DESCRIPTION
* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE…Coastal Humboldt near Honeydew south to coastal Mendocino near Legget.
* WHEN…Until 315 PM PST.
* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS… - At 1209 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen in the past hour with up 1 inch of additional rainfall over the next hour. - Some locations that will experience flooding include… Shelter Cove, Richardson Grove State Park, Honeydew, Whitehorn, Leggett, Briceland, Ettersburg and Piercy. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
