You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

DESCRIPTION

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.

* WHERE…Del Norte County and northern Humboldt including Humboldt Bay.

* WHEN…Until 2 AM PST Thursday.

* IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Increased risk of rock and mudslides on roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS… - 1.0 to 1.5 inches of rain have already fallen. An additional 1 to 2.0 inches of of rain are expected through tonight. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
