INSTRUCTIONS
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
DESCRIPTION
* WHAT…Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE…A portion of northwest California, including the following county, Humboldt.
* WHEN…Until 545 AM PST.
* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS… - At 247 AM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.8 and 1.4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include… Arcata, Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Park, Garberville, Richardson Grove State Park, Bridgeville, Weott, Myers Flat, Pepperwood, Dinsmore, Redway, Alderpoint, Maple Creek, Richardson Grove, Shively, Miranda, Blocksburg, Fort Seward, Bull Creek, Hydesville and Benbow. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
