If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

DESCRIPTION

At 1200 AM PST, Doppler radar was tracking a line of showers along a line extending from 24 miles west of Trinidad to 35 miles southwest of Shelter Cove. Movement was northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD…Brief heavy rain and pea size hail. Gusty winds to 30 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Minor road flooding.

Locations impacted include… Eureka, Arcata, Richardson Grove State Park, Orick, Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Park, Garberville, Honeydew, Shelter Cove, Fortuna, Rio Dell, McKinleyville, Whitehorn, Carlotta, Westhaven-Moonstone, Scotia, Pepperwood, Petrolia, Myers Flat, Redway, and Weott.
