You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
DESCRIPTION
* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
* WHERE…A portion of northwest California, including the following areas, Del Norte County, Humboldt County, Mendocino County, Southwest Trinity, and Northwest Lake.
* WHEN…Through late tonight.
* IMPACTS…Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS… - Consistent moderate rain is continuing to spread across the area today. About 1 inch has already fallen along the coast. The heaviest rain rates are expected between 1000 this morning and 1400 this afternoon. An additional 2 to 4 inches rain are expected all along the coast in that period. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
