INSTRUCTIONS

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

DESCRIPTION

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.

* WHERE…A portion of northwest California, including the following areas, Del Norte County, Humboldt County, Mendocino County, Southwest Trinity, and Northwest Lake.

* WHEN…Until 1 AM PST Sunday.

* IMPACTS…Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS… - 2 to 3 inches of rain have fallen along the coast with widespread flooding impacts continuing to be reported in Humboldt and Del Norte counties. The focus of rain will shift south with 1 to 1.5 inches of heavy rain forecast in Mendocino and Lake Counties this evening. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
