DESCRIPTION

A strong atmospheric river is expected to bring heavy rain Tuesday evening through early Thursday morning bringing six to ten inches of rainfall across the area.

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.

* WHERE…A portion of northwest California, including the following area, Southwestern Humboldt.

* WHEN…From 10 PM PST this evening through Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS…There will be an increased risk of rock and land slides along roadways. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. This may include flooding of the Mattole River.
