DESCRIPTION

* WHAT…Heavy snow possible for elevations above 1500 feet. Total snow accumulations between 9 and 23 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 50 mph.

* WHERE…Southwestern Humboldt.

* WHEN…From Friday morning through late Saturday night.

* IMPACTS…Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Tire chains may be necessary if travelling through mountain passes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
