INSTRUCTIONS

Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.

DESCRIPTION

…STRONG WINTER STORM THROUGH SUNDAY…

* WHAT…Widespread accumulating small hail expected. Small hail will be strongest early Friday morning and again all day Saturday. Small hail showers are sporadic but hail can last a long time on roadways.

* WHERE…Del Norte and Northern Humboldt Coast.

* WHEN…From 10 PM this evening to 4 PM PST Saturday.

* IMPACTS…Small hail can create rapid and unexpected icy conditions even at sea level. Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous.
