DESCRIPTION
At 426 AM PST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Orick to near Rio Dell. Movement was northeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD…Winds in excess of 30 mph, pea size hail, and lightning.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include… Eureka, Arcata, Hoopa, Willow Creek, Fortuna, Rio Dell, Weitchpec, McKinleyville, Maple Creek, Carlotta, Westhaven-Moonstone, Blue Lake, Myrtletown, Cutten, Hydesville, Freshwater, Kneeland, Arcata Arpt, Rohnerville, and Fieldbrook.
