DESCRIPTION
At 944 AM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles west of Orick to 20 miles west of Petrolia. Movement was east at 20 mph.
HAZARD…Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Hazardous road conditions are possible.
Locations impacted include… Eureka, Arcata, Orleans, Orick, Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Park, Hoopa, Willow Creek, Honeydew, Fortuna, Rio Dell, Dinsmore, Salyer, Burnt Ranch, Weitchpec, McKinleyville, Maple Creek, Carlotta, Westhaven-Moonstone, Bridgeville, and Alderpoint.
