INSTRUCTIONS

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

DESCRIPTION

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.

* WHERE…A portion of northwest California, including the following county, northwestern Humboldt.

* WHEN…Until 645 AM PST Thursday.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS… - At 1240 AM PST, local law enforcement reported flooding in the advisory area. Minor flooding is already occurring. Between 2 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 2.5 inches are expected over the area today. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include… Arcata. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
