INSTRUCTIONS

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

…The National Weather Service in Eureka CA has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in California…

Van Duzen River Near Bridgeville affecting Humboldt County.

For the Van Duzen, Bridgeville…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Van Duzen River near Bridgeville.

* WHEN…From late tonight to early tomorrow afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 17.0 feet, Flooding begins in lower portions of Grizzly Creek State Park and along River Bar Road.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS… - At 8:15 AM PST Thursday the stage was 10.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 17.0 feet. - Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight to a crest of 17.1 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet. - Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of 17.1 feet on 01/18/2016. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
