INSTRUCTIONS
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in California…
Eel River at Fernbridge affecting Humboldt County.
For the Eel River…including Fernbridge…Major flooding is forecast.
* WHAT…Major flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…Eel River at Fernbridge.
* WHEN…Until Saturday afternoon.
* IMPACTS…At 25.0 feet, Severe flooding of the Eel River Delta including areas northwest of Loleta and the western portion of Cannibal Island Road. Numerous road closures in low-lying areas, including Highway 211 to Ferndale. A Special Action Advisory is issued to all owners of livestock in low-lying areas near the river. Appropriate action should be taken to protect livestock.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS… - At 6:15 PM PST Thursday the stage was 16.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet. - Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 25.4 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Saturday morning. - Flood stage is 20.0 feet. - Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of 25.6 feet on 02/27/2019. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
