.The first in a series of atmospheric rivers is expected to hit tonight. Additional storms with heavier rain are expected next week…

* WHAT…Flooding of small streams and creeks with possible flooding for mainstem rivers.

* WHERE…Northwest California.

* WHEN…The potential for flooding mainly starts Monday night for small streams and Tuesday for larger rivers.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding is expected next week. Moderate flooding is possible depending the length of the breaks in the rain.

* Stay tuned to the weather forecast over the next couple days as forecast confidence and details will likely increase. Beyond rain, this storm is also expected to bring strong winds.
