INSTRUCTIONS
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
DESCRIPTION
* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE…A portion of northwest California, including the following county, west central Humboldt.
* WHEN…Until 1215 PM PST.
* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas is possible around Humboldt Bay including Jacoby Creek, Freshwater Creek, Elk River, and near Carlotta.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS… - At 853 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that may experience flooding include… Eureka, Arcata, Fortuna, Rio Dell, Carlotta, Ferndale, Blue Lake, Freshwater, Fernbridge, and Rohnerville. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
