DESCRIPTION
* WHAT…For the Wind Advisory, northeast winds 25 to 35 mph expected. Gusts up to 60 mph expected over ridges. For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low as 15 expected.
* WHERE…Trinity County, Del Norte Interior, Northern Humboldt Interior, Northeastern Mendocino Interior, and Northern Lake.
* WHEN…Until 10 AM PST Sunday.
* IMPACTS…Wind gusts will be particularly strong along windward ridges. There is an increased risk of tree branches and other debris on roadways. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.
