Exercise caution when driving over small hail. Small hail can quickly accumulate on roadways resulting in slippery conditions. Go easy on brakes and steering to avoid spin-outs.
DESCRIPTION
At 830 AM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster gusty showers and thunderstorms moving northeast at 30 mph into the Humboldt and Del Norte coast.
HAZARD…Pea size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Hazardous conditions to motorists.
Locations impacted include… Orick, Klamath, Jedediah Smith State Park, Crescent City, Bertsch-Oceanview, Smith River, Fort Dick, Requa, Klamath Glen, Crescent City North, Jack McNamera Field, Trinidad, and Westhaven-Moonstone.
