INSTRUCTIONS
Small hail can quickly accumulate on roadways resulting in slippery conditions. Go easy on brakes and steering to avoid spin-outs.
DESCRIPTION
At 933 AM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a shower 7 miles northwest of Fortuna, or 11 miles south of Eureka, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 30 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Hazardous conditions to motorists. Exercise caution when driving over small hail.
Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include… Eureka, Arcata, Fortuna, Rio Dell, Petrolia, Ferndale, Rohnerville, Fernbridge, Loleta, Hydesville, Capetown, Humboldt Hill, Pine Hills, Bayview, Cutten, Myrtletown and Freshwater.
