INSTRUCTIONS
Small hail can quickly accumulate on roadways resulting in slippery conditions. Go easy on brakes and steering to avoid spin-outs.
DESCRIPTION
At 1010 AM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking several lines of strong showers 7 miles northeast of Fortuna over the ocean, or 9 miles southeast of Eureka, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 30 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Hazardous conditions to motorists. Exercise caution when driving over small hail. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include… Eureka, Arcata, Willow Creek, Fortuna, Rio Dell, Scotia, McKinleyville, Petrolia, Ferndale, Blue Lake, Fernbridge, Rohnerville, Loleta, Hydesville, Pine Hills, Humboldt Hill, Cutten, Bayview, Freshwater and Myrtletown.
