INSTRUCTIONS
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
DESCRIPTION
* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE…A portion of northwest California, including the following county, northwestern Humboldt.
* WHEN…Until noon PDT.
* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS… - At 1059 AM PDT, The public reported heavy rain in the advisory area. Minor flooding is already occurring. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include… Highway 101 and Indianola Cutoff between Eureka and Arcata. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
