INSTRUCTIONS

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.

DESCRIPTION

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…A portion of northwest California, including the following county, northeastern Humboldt.

* WHEN…Until 430 PM PDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS… - At 227 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen with very heavy rain rates. - Some locations that will experience flooding include… Trinidad, Weitchpec, Westhaven-Moonstone and Arcata Arpt. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
