INSTRUCTIONS
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
DESCRIPTION
* WHAT…Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE…A portion of northwest California, including the following county, southwestern Humboldt.
* WHEN…Until noon PST.
* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS… - At 851 AM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. This will cause small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include… Honeydew, Petrolia and Capetown. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
