DESCRIPTION

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE…Southern Humboldt County in northwestern California… Northern Mendocino County in northwestern California… Southwestern Trinity County in northwestern California…

* Until 745 AM PST.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS… - At 240 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain has fallen across southern Humboldt, southern Trinity, and northern Mendocino counties. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen in the last 24 hours. Small streams have risen sharply and may exceed their banks. - Some locations that will experience flooding include… Richardson Grove State Park, Garberville, Laytonville, Covelo, Shelter Cove, Honeydew, Alderpoint, Leggett, Richardson Grove, Ruth, Redway, Rockport, Whitehorn, Myers Flat, Weott, Petrolia, Zenia, Benbow, Fort Seward and Piercy. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
