INSTRUCTIONS

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

DESCRIPTION

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE…Eastern Humboldt County in northwestern California… Western Trinity County in northwestern California…

* Until 600 PM PST.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. River or stream flows are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS… - At 234 PM PST, automated rain gauges have indicated heavy rain has fallen across the advisory area. Minor flooding is ongoing. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include… Willow Creek, Hoopa, Dinsmore, Hyampom, Ruth, Burnt Ranch, Alderpoint, Salyer, Richardson Grove, Weitchpec, Blocksburg, Fort Seward and Zenia. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
