INSTRUCTIONS
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
DESCRIPTION
* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE…Central Humboldt County in northwestern California…
* Until 400 AM PST Saturday.
* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS… - At 944 PM PST, reports indicated minor flooding is ongoing in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional significant rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include…Highway 36 near Carlotta, Little River, and other low lying locations. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
