DESCRIPTION

* WHAT…Heavy and persistent rainfall rates during unusually high tides

* WHERE…West Central Humboldt County in northwestern California…

* Until 400 PM PST.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS… - At 1201 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include… Eureka, Arcata, Fortuna, Rio Dell, Trinidad, McKinleyville, Carlotta, Scotia, Westhaven-Moonstone, Ferndale, Blue Lake, Myrtletown, Freshwater, Cutten, Pine Hills, Bayview, Samoa, Humboldt Hill, Kneeland and Fernbridge. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
