Small hail can quickly accumulate on roadways resulting in slippery conditions. Go easy on brakes and steering to avoid spin-outs.
DESCRIPTION
At 1219 AM PST, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong showers near Petrolia, or 11 miles west of Honeydew, moving east at 40 mph and will also impact Highway 101.
HAZARD…Pea size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Hazardous conditions to motorists.
Locations impacted include… Honeydew, Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Park, Rio Dell, Scotia, Pepperwood, Weott, Carlotta, Petrolia, Myers Flat, Bull Creek, Shively, Hydesville, Miranda and Capetown.
