INSTRUCTIONS

Exercise caution when driving over small hail.

Small hail can quickly accumulate on roadways resulting in slippery conditions. Go easy on brakes and steering to avoid spin-outs.

DESCRIPTION

At 130 AM PST, Doppler radar was tracking a shower 7 miles east of McKinleyville, or 9 miles northeast of Arcata, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD…Pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hazardous conditions to motorists.

Locations impacted include… Eureka, Arcata, Willow Creek, McKinleyville, Blue Lake, Fieldbrook, Arcata Arpt, Freshwater, Myrtletown, Cutten, Samoa, Pine Hills, Bayview, Fairhaven and Humboldt Hill.
