INSTRUCTIONS

Exercise caution when driving over small hail.

Small hail can quickly accumulate on roadways resulting in slippery conditions. Go easy on brakes and steering to avoid spin-outs.

DESCRIPTION

At 255 AM PST, Doppler radar was tracking a shower 6 miles north of Petrolia, or 15 miles northwest of Honeydew, moving east at 40 mph. Small hail accumulation may occur of Highway 101.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Hazardous conditions to motorists.

Locations impacted include… Fortuna, Rio Dell, Scotia, Carlotta, Ferndale, Rohnerville, Fernbridge, Hydesville, Loleta and Capetown.
