INSTRUCTIONS

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

DESCRIPTION

* AFFECTED AREA…Northern Trinity and Humboldt Counties including fire weather zones 403, 406, 409, and 410.

* THUNDERSTORMS…Isolated, mostly dry thunderstorms may form over the higher terrain of northern Humboldt and Trinity counties as early as 4 AM Friday morning and then through Friday afternoon. Overall thunderstorm confidence remains very uncertain.

* OUTFLOW WINDS…Storms could produce gusty and erratic outflow winds up to 40 mph.

* IMPACTS…Thunderstorms may ignite new fires with dry fuels and in difficult to access locations. Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
