Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
DESCRIPTION
At 355 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong thunderstorms extending from 11 miles northwest of Orleans to 24 miles north of Orleans, moving northwest at 10 mph.
HAZARD…Pea size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include… Mainly rural areas of Eastern Del Norte and North Central Humboldt Counties.
