Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
DESCRIPTION
At 504 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong thunderstorms 10 miles north of Weitchpec, or 11 miles west of Orleans, moving northwest at 15 mph.
HAZARD…Pea size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include… Mainly rural areas of South Central Del Norte and North Central Humboldt Counties.
