Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
DESCRIPTION
At 703 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Pepperwood, or over Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Park, moving west at 15 mph.
HAZARD…Pea size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include… Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Park, Rio Dell, Pepperwood, Carlotta, Scotia, Shively and Hydesville.
