Three Falls
Daily Photo
Three Falls is a well known secret swimming hole in Salmon Creek. Last summer this was only a trickle. The recent rains have filled the streams.
My middle son, a guest and I hiked about 40 minutes to reach this beautiful place. I took some shots of the middle falls, too, but unfortunately the slippery ground, high cliff overlooking the cascade, and my son cautioning me “If you fall, fall backwards,” combined to terrify me into forgetting to change my camera to a good setting. The terrain is incredibly steep, the rain was pouring, and I’m out of shape so it took us over 50 minutes to hike back out. In spite of the fact I was drenched, I never got cold as the rain was warm and the workout was intense!
One of my favorite blogs actually owns the land the Falls flows through.
