Two HuMMAP (Humboldt Medical Marijuana Advisory Panel) members, Mariellen Jurkovich and Charley Custer offer opposing views. Mark Sailors offers his opinion also.

I’ll be next week’s issue discussing the problems new cannabusinesses face because they are in the forefront of a formerly illegal industry that now is moving towards the mainstream.

As always, don’t forget to pour over Hoover’s version of a police log...He has received national attention for his sardonic take on the local crime scene. I can’t decide if my favorite is “A falling-down drunk in Valley West earned his description, sustaining a head injury.”  Or, “ The world’s most unsympathizable beggar entreated a woman for money at 13th and G streets, his coin-cadging compromised by unzipped pants which allowed a panoramic view of that which no mortal never would have wished to observe. The dangly wrangler ambled away, penniless but well-ventilated.”
