Do you know your male plants from your female?  Do you know even more?  Could you teach others about what you know? A cannabis college is starting up in Garberville and they are looking for “qualified instructors for a basic class in cannabis horticulture, medicinal use, and law.”

According to their website, “[They] are located in the heart of the famous “Emerald Triangle” in its “unofficial” capitol city of Garberville, Humboldt County, California.  ”

They have yet to set up a class schedule (presumably they need instructors first) though they have a curriculum planned. And they have several events planned.  First they intend to introduce themselves to the community

~ June 18th, 2010, at the Garberville Town Square, from 11am-5pm:

We’ll be hosting an information booth at the Southern Humboldt Healing Arts Fair, sponsored by the SHHAA and Chataqua Natural Foods at the town square. We’ll be there to … answer any questions you may have about 707 Cannabis College, it’s activities, curriculum, and employment opportunities.

Then they are offering a cannabis festival.

~ July 10th, 2010, at the Mateel Community Center, from 12pm-6pm - The 707 Cannabis College Expo!

Join us for a festive afternoon of music, food, and interactivity as we discuss and share ideas about cannabis, health, horticulture, and the state of the herb. The event will feature vendors and non-profit participants, guest speakers, and most of all YOUR input. Got something to share? Come join us!

I’m looking forward to meeting the two women behind this  Donna King, Director of education and Kellie Dodds, President.  I’m curious as to where the classes will be held and who will be hired as instructors.  (Mr. Nice, I saw your bud at the Emerald Cup.  I think you should apply.)
