Fox is first!  A 30 second commercial for a medical marijuana dispensary debuted this week on a Sacramento Fox affiliate.  The ad is discrete using the term “cannabis” and not showing actual marijuana but, nonetheless, another barrier has crumbled.

This last month when Facebook rejected ads with marijuana leave,  Google readily stepped forward offering to provide slots for the pieces.  And, when parent company, Conde Nast, told news-link site Reddit that they could not run paid ads for the “Just Say Now” campaign, Reddit ran the ads for free.  There is a struggle in this country but the pro marijuana campaigners appear to be winning.
