Speaking of the Victorian Hellhole: The Eureka Police Department looking for help in a five-day-old rape case that took place in an alley by Steve and Dave’s Bar near closing time.

Investigators of the Eureka Police Department are investigating a rape that occurred at the 100 block of C Street on Sunday morning, July 10th, 2011 at about 1:30 AM. The rape was committed by an unknown male suspect against a female. Overpowering force was used to commit the rape which occurred in an alley. The rape occurred in the area of several local bars near closing time.

The Eureka Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance by reporting observations or encounters, of odd or lurking behavior by an individual male or an unusual encounter with an individual male, during the above listed date and time and location.
