…Authorities received information that Stephen Paul Bohrer was on land he owned on Cisco Lane in Miranda. Deputy U.S. Marshal Brad Gill described the property as a small parcel with a few trailers and a small cabin.
The Marshals Service said Michael Martin was sleeping in one of the trailers when they arrived on Tuesday. After running his name through a warrant search, Gill found that Martin was also one of the people indicted on federal charges of conspiracy to distribute marijuana in Ft. Myers, Fla., last November. Martin, Bohrer and six others were charged with possession and “intent to distribute 1,000 kilograms or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of marijuana” by the U.S. District Court in the Middle District of Florida.
Approximately 150 marijuana plants were found on the land in Miranda, officials said. Martin appeared in court Tuesday in Eureka and was ordered to be transferred to San Francisco on Friday.
Though eight names are listed on the court documents in Florida, Gill said the search has stretched across the country. And out of it.
”This was a coast-to-coast marijuana operation which has had a number of people arrested in both the U.S. and Mexico,” said Gill.
