I’m not quite sure why a Redding television station has this before anyone else, but apparently the Sheriff’s Office is looking for a couple of boneheads who attacked a Myrtle Avenue gas station attendant and his family last night, then idiotically crashed their stupid getaway vehicle:

Deputies say it all started when the two suspects, 32-year-old Jamie Hunt and 30-year-old Jeremy Schweizer had entered a gas station and tried to pay for gas with a counterfeit $100 bill. When the station clerk, who is of East Indian descent, refused to accept the bill, an argument began.

The suspects accused the clerk of being a Jihadist and made references that the clerk was angry that Osama bin Laden was dead, along with other racial epithets. One of the suspects approached the clerk and punched him in the side of the head.
