This morning, Zak Carter, the promoter of the “Rock the Revolution Tour,” told John Matthews that KRS-ONE will not be appearing at the Ron Paul-promoting event tomorrow night at Nocturnum, contrary to advance hype. (Carter also initially and wrongly told Matthews that the event is scheduled for Wednesday night.)

Carter talked about the mainstream media’s “blackout” of the Ron Paul presidential campaign, and officially denied that his tour is connected with the official Ron Paul campaign. That appears to be due to the fact that it is a project of Revolution PAC — Ron Paul’s “Super PAC,” one of the new species of phony-baloney political action committees that sprang to life in the wake of the Citizens United decision. (Good reading on SuperPACs in the NYT and Mother Jones.)
