Outdoor mom and pop farmers need to understand the draft of the Humboldt Co. Medical Marijuana Ordinance.  But struggling through the language is tedious process so 707 Cannabis College is holding Grassroots conversation on Sept. 8th following the presentation to Humboldt’s Board of Supervisors from Mendocino Sheriff, Tom Allman on Sept. 6th.  Several community members plan to attend the first meeting and then come to the Sept 8th meeting prepared to discuss the draft ordinance in depth. [Note:  there is no hearing on the indoor/dispensary ordinance on the 13th. No such hearing has been scheduled. There has been a rumor floating around to that effect but Supervisor Mark Lovelace assures me it is not true.]

Donna King, Director of Education at the 707 Cannabis College, wants to see Mom and Pop growers better understand what is happening.  She invites the community to bring their questions, concerns, and what they have learned to the event. “I have two things I hope to see happen,” she explained. “1.  I want the community to really understand what the ordinance is saying.  2. I’m hoping they will be inspired to show up and be counted at future Supervisor’s meetings.”  King has asked Kristin Nevedal who has been following the discussion closely to come and be prepared to point out in the draft what she understands it to say. Other community members are invited to come and point out their concerns and express what they believe the draft to say.

The conversation will be held September 8th at 3:30pm in the Meadows Business Park 1881 Barnett # 4.  All are welcome.
