Fortuna Police Dept Press Release: On 9/4/2011 at approximately 1726 hours, Officers with the Fortuna Police Department working on a tip received from WeTIP, responded to the area of 2025 Jenny Lane to attempt to apprehend a wanted Parolee, and high risk sex offender who has been out of compliance since May of 2011, John Ashbaugh age 26 out of San Bernardino, California. Upon arrival at the residence officers met with Ashbaugh at the rear of the residence. He attempted to flee from the officers and was apprehended as the attempted to re-enter the residence.
