Press release from the Humboldt County Drug Task Force:

On 04-12-2012 at approximately 0900 hours the Humboldt County Drug Task, assisted by the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at Neva Serena Holladay’s residence located in the 1100 block of Comkid Court, McKinleyville.

When officers searched the residence they located a sophisticated, commercial indoor marijuana growing operation in a structure which was attached to the residence. Officers located 498 growing marijuana plants in that structure that were about 6” to 4’ in height. Officers noticed a possible fire hazard with the electrical wiring from the indoor marijuana growing operation. Officers contacted Humboldt County Building and Planning Department, who responded to the scene. Humboldt County Building and Planning Department contacted PG&E to remove the electrical service to the residence, because of a possible fire hazard from the indoor marijuana growing operation. Holladay was on the PG&E care program for her electrical bill.

Officers located about 1/2 pound of processed marijuana in the residence, scales, packaging materials and $21,000 dollars in cash. Holladay, age 36, was arrested for cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sales. Holladay was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility and her bail was set at $25,000 dollars.
