The T-S got the scoop that your Lost Coast Outpost and KHUM have been trying to work for the last hour. A KHUM listener driving by the scene on Myrtle Avenue said he saw nothing. The people at the Subway sandwich shop across the street said they saw nothing. Lt. Steve Knight of the Sheriff’s Office said they knew nothing about it.
But a person at Myrtlewood Liquors, more or less next door to The Humboldt County Collective, said that a couple of SUVs had been at the medical marijuana dispensary all morning, and that one investigator with a tee shirt that simply said “Investigator” came in and bought a snack.
So the T-S reports via its Facebook that it was the District Attorney’s Office, in conjunction with the California Department of Justice, executing a search warrant at The Humboldt County Collective. One person has been taken into custody, the paper reports.
We have a call into the DA’s office and hope to have more information soon.
